LAKE UNION CONFERENCE: PARL DEPARTMENT
STUDENT ART & ESSAY CONTEST
"JESUS AND HUMAN RIGHTS TODAY"






Contest Details:
Deadline: April 30, 2019
Study Matthew 5-7, the Sermon on the Mount, and today's religious freedom, civil rights, and social concerns.

K-8
Create an art piece that fits on an 8.5 by 11 sheet of paper (drawing, painting, etc.) that captures the theme, "Jesus and Human Rights."

High School
Write an essay, double spaced, that is 800-1,000 words capturing the theme, "Jesus and Human Rights."

College
Write an essay, double spaced, of 1200-1500 words capturing the theme, "Jesus and Human Rights.

Prizes
The Winner at each school in each category will receive a scholarship award and move onto the conference level. The conference level winner will also receive a scholarship award and move onto the Union level. The winners at the Union level in each category will receive an additional scholarship award and be invited to attend a PARL conference at Andrews University in October 2019, where they and their work will be acknowledged.
